One would think those opposing war are non-violent. One would think those opposing war believe in peace.
For too many, the peace movement is a misnomer as often men involved in the peace movement come home and beat their wives, sometimes coming close to killing them.
Several organizations claiming to support peace:, such as Veterans for Peace, Military Families Speak Out, the Peace Coalition, the US Democrat Yahoo Network and Democrats.com, have given violent abusers places of honor where they can use their positions to control and further abuse their victims. They do this with full knowledge of the violence and physical injuries the abusers have inflicted on others.
One has to ask why it is bad to kill people in foreign lands but OK to kill them at home? Organizations that support domestic violence are not truly for peace or they could not support any form of violence. Peace begins at home.
